Learn Serbian in Serbia at School LINGUA D’USO

cirilica The School Lingua D'USO enables foreigners, mainly students from Italy and students from all other countries in the world to learn the Serbian language in Serbia, Nis.

Nis is the largest city in southern Serbia and it is known as the hometown of Emperor Constantine the Great as well as the city with rich history from pre-Roman times. Thus, people attending courses will not only be learning wonderful Serbian language and Cyrillic alphabet, but they will simultaneously become familiar with the rich cultural heritage of Nis area.

During their stay in Nis, participants will encounter warm and friendly southern Serbian mentality, enjoy Serbian cuisine, visit unique memorial monument "The Skull Tower” and the remains of the residence of Emperor Constantine.

This program is provided in cooperation with the School of foreign languages and computer training "Spell" in Niš where the courses are conducted.

Spell school premises are located in the centre of Nis, near the famous tourist sites such as Kalča, Mosque, Cathedral, national restaurant Sinđelić, as well as the other cultural and historical sites that are at hand.

Our teachers are qualified and experienced in teaching Serbian as a second language, and they accommodate the needs of each group and each participant individually.

The process of learning takes place in an informal, relaxed atmosphere and friendly environment, using the method based on communication, practical use of language with grammar being adopted through speech. The classes encompass all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and the emphasis is on drama and role-play exercises during which students are interactive, talk about the current issues, read newspaper articles, listen to music and so on. The group has a maximum of 8 students.

The school is equipped with CD and DVD players, computers with internet connection, mini library and other didactic equipment that students can use free of charge during the course.
